Katia is a dedicated educator, counselor, and mental health professional with 19 years of experience supporting the wellness, growth, and empowerment of children and adults. Fluent in Haitian Creole, she is able to connect with clients in their native language, bringing added comfort and understanding to the therapeutic space. Her background includes roles as a General Education Teacher, Special Education Teacher, Special Education Chairperson, School Counselor, and Mental Health Counselor (MHC-LP).
Passionate about advocating for individuals and helping them discover the best version of themselves, Katia creates a supportive, person-centered environment where clients feel respected, understood, and empowered. Using a solution-focused approach grounded in empathy, active listening, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and mindfulness practices, she helps individuals build resilience, navigate challenges, increase self-awareness, and achieve meaningful personal growth.
