Tamara Schomberg

MHC-LP

Hi, I'm Tamara Schomberg. I'm a Mental Health Counselor, and I've had the privilege of doing this work for the past 8 years. One of the things I love most about being a therapist is getting to meet people where they are and reminding them that they don't have to figure everything out on their own.

I especially enjoy working with families, couples, and teens. I believe every person has a story, and sometimes what we need most is simply a safe place to share that story, to be heard, understood, and supported without judgment.

What drew me to this work was my desire to be a listening ear for others. There are times when we know something isn't quite right, but we just can't seem to understand why or what to do next. I want to help bring some clarity to those moments, offer insight, and help you find a way forward.

I also love research and learning. If there's something I don't know, I'll be honest with you, I'll tell you and then I'll go find the answer. Through my work and research, I've learned how deeply our past can shape our present, whether we realize it or not. Sometimes those experiences have a big impact, and sometimes they show up in small ways. Either way, I believe understanding where we've been can help us better understand where we are and where we want to go.

Most of all, I want you to feel comfortable, heard, and cared for. This world can feel pretty cold sometimes, and I believe everyone deserves a safe space where they can take a breath, be themselves, and know they're not alone. I'm here to listen, support you, and walk alongside you one step at a time.
